This work is a collage art composed of 4 canvases. Each one is 24x36 inches. This is the technique that best connects the two elements of landscape and togetherness for me. A thought inspired me: "everyone sees the same horizon." The work is created with recycled materials: paper, fabric and thread to show various abstract landscapes. In order to stay in line with the principles, we need to follow as a large community, recycling and reducing pollution. I used some different textures of paper and then used cotton thread and glue to connect the pieces together. The soft fabric and reflective paper enrich the visual effects and make the image more vivid. This work focuses on abstract shapes to simulate the horizon landscape. Each canvas is covered with intense colours. They each represent a different component of the landscape. The elements that fill out the picture from time to time connect each canvas. Through this work, I hope that the viewer will find it compelling and. Most importantly, it triggers their imagination. The purpose of this work is not to show the exquisite painting or manual skills but the diversity of ideas.
I took away the symbolic elements to give the audience room for imagination.
I want the audience to stimulate their imagination and ask questions through my works. If a person walks by my work and gets the idea to stop and observe it, then I have achieved my goal.
