In November of 2012, I, amongst a few others were chosen to represent Trafalgar School For Girls at the Remembrance Day ceremony in Ottawa. There we got the opportunity to talk to veterans that fought in World War 2 and many others that were affected by it. This was a very touching experience, hearing their stories first hand and getting to interact with them one on one really made me appreciate and be thankful for what they have done that much more. During this time is when I fell in love with the possibility of becoming a medic in the military. It’s a combination of two things that I am passionate about, helping people and first aid. Watching the parade was also a great experience. The fighter jets flying up in the sky and the canons being fired every few minutes really made it a moving experience.
