The Collection “Lunares a la Balenciaga” is a Fall Winter Creator’s Collection for 2018-2019. It is a collection for the designer house founded by Cristobal Balenciaga. The theme of this Collection is all about elegance. It is about having fun but looking fabulous while doing it. Its all about big volumes and awkward silhouettes. The trend for this project has a lot to do with self-acceptance and not being afraid to express yourself. Wearing whatever you want and leaving your life as a dream, where no one can tell you not to wear something. This theme relates back to the WGSN theme of the thinker, in the aspect that it is a trend of self acceptance and self empowerment, where “the rebellious and the romantics will be combines, resulting in unexpected and sometimes surreal interpretations of classics.” It also relates to the WGSN theme of Dark Wonder, which talks about living life as a dream and using colours that stand out from everyone else. A contrast of silhouettes from the 1950's is used in this collection by using both structured and very voluminous vibes. In this collection I tried to revive the spirit of glamour of the 1950's and I want people to feel fabulous and elegant in my garments no matter the occasion.
