This is what Véronique Ducharme seems to be asking in (2012-13). She works in a similar fashion to Eadweard Muybridge, who used the camera to prove that all four feet of a galloping horse are, for a moment, simultaneously off the ground. Unlike Muybridge, who attached thread to cameras to create each exposure, Ducharme employs a hunting camera to detect movement and heat to trigger the exposure. The resulting images might be called wildlife photographs, in which animals exist beyond human control. Their ghostly images could be from another world, one without humans."
