Cyberpunk office

The Cyberpunk Office is located in the floor -1 of the new LCI Barcelona building and has a surface of 2.000 m2. My idea was to create a cool workplace for the company connected with computer games production. So, thinking about main theme, I was convinced that it should be something connected directly with that. Cyberpunk is a style where I can show the technological supremacy and use materials which can seem cold and and rigid. Moreover, LED lines are used a lot as well and thay usually have different colors of light, so, the design becomes a little bit more attractive. Main concepts are: connection, dynamics and cyberpunk itself.

Materialboard

In general, I used concrete panels, microcement flooring, two types of metal, wood and leather. Let’s analyse the meaning and the role in my project of the each of them. The concrete here represents rigidity and stability because normaly its a structural material. So, as I have cyberpunk style, I decided to leave it in sight. This is the actual reason why it is so presented in my design. Talking about main theme of the workplace, I noticed that the chosen style is also related with metals. I used the bright one as the base for chill-out zones inside and outside, and the black one mainly for shelves in workspaces. The wood, except for actual plants, is the one and only material that represents a little bit of connection with nature. It adds warmth and a little bit of coziness but not too much because it is not something I was looking for. You will be able to see it as the base for desks, tables and bar surfaces. The leather is used in sofas in the part of the seat itself and also has black color. Moreover, it has a rubbed effect and connects with the idea of the project.
