In my Store Layout class during my third semester, I was required to create my brand. The brand I created is KidsJamz, which caters to 3 to 12-year-old children who seek a fun and innovative shopping experience, but also to parents who seek community gathering with other families. KidsJamz sells licensed sleepwear, books and room decor. They support the Better Cotton Initiative program, having most of its products made of BCI Cotton. The brand aims to provide its consumers with the value of purchase, and that you will essentially gain something unforgettable when shopping at its physical store. To avoid the simplest of all, online shopping, KidsJamz implements fun playground fixtures in the main areas of the store, like a ball pit and slide, as well as a rock climbing wall, to keep the kid moving during this experience. Consumers need to be presented with the value of purchase but also, children need to take part in such an experience and be able to differentiate the variable ways in which brands position themselves, and that is KidsJamz's objective as a storytelling brand.
The first part of the project was to determine KidsJamz's branding. KidsJamz's visual identity includes the four main brand colours, its logo, fonts, branded icons, business cards and its informative shopping bag.

I implemented a soft grid strategy, as well as impulse buying strategies, and a decompression zone at the beginning of the store, which serves to increase the tactile stimuli of a child, which is also seen as the tunnel. The main area of the store includes a ball pit and a slide. Towards the right of the store is where the "Book Department" is located, serving as the brand's main cultural standpoint. Then, near the exit, includes a low rock climbing wall, as well as a "Room Decor" section facing it. This in-store design was invented to increase a child's shopping experience, altering the image of shopping and how it is essentially described.
