Performance as a reality of expression

This is a project where the interpretation of the performance was investigated in an artistic way.

Performance as a rea

Performance as a reality expression” aims to show what performances are as a social engine from its roots besides some other later artworks in order to take a look at its evolution. Futurists, dadas and surrealists were pioneers in using performance as a form of art for communicating, to escape or confront reality and, at the end, as a way of expression in all its senses. For them (with some differences on the artistic realization) life was art and art was life, meaning that everything that surrounds us can be art on its expression if we look at it this way. Not only an historical vision, the exposition aspires to be a whole experience in order to reflect the Futurist Seratas, where performances started to take place as we know and of which the adjoining artistic movements followed its legacy. if we technically define the word performance, it is an English word with the meaning of representation or artistic show. The performance is related to the arts and is the master word to refer to this type of artistic reproductions. The Performance type of art has an origin in 1916. It is a manifestation in which the artist uses his body in a fundamental way to carry out this type of work. The futurist movement originated in Italy in the early 20th century. It was as a movement that emphasized dynamism, technology, violence, and speed. The movement concentrated of the beauty on the process of creating. Dadaism is known as a Vanguard artistic movement that was born in Zurich in 1916 at the hands of its founders: Tristan Tzara, Hugo Ball, Richard Huelsenbenk and Hans Arp. These met in a nightclub called Cabaret Voltaire, neither more nor less with the aim of carrying out actions that would express their rejection of the artistic institution and expressions of European art, both the original at that time and the historical. The surrealism movement was originated between 1920-50, the movement took inspiration from dreams and the subconscious.
