Have you ever felt that your pets slowly represent the picture of yourselves? I did. We adopt Whiskey- an 8 years old cat with subtle character and calm more than anything else, and then we got Remy- a 1-year-old cat full of energy and naughty. I and my fiance feel that they both present us in another form. I did this series for 2 purposes, firstly, I want to tell a simple story about me and my other half throughout the series and the second purpose is to capture the best moments of two beautiful souls, by somehow, adapting and blending in with each other. I and my partner- Whiskey and Remy, are not the link between owners and pets, we both present how 2 strangers can adapt to each other, even if we are totally different. For technical aspects, I choose to use my table lamp combined with different angles of light and camera, the result surprisingly meets my expectation - a dramatic light environment. I used a lot of portraits approach to show the character clearly and long shots to compare both of them. I decided to use an eye-level angle in order to put myself on the same level as the subject since it presents my personality. It's quite challenging to stage subjects with movement so I have to put a lot of effort to manipulate the acts in order to show the best reactions from both of them. Thanks, Remy and Whiskey, I love you guys.

Reaction

We did a little manipulation to test their reactions and it shows how they react differently according to their personalities.

No Bother

The contrast between both personalities presented the most in this picture when Remy tries to annoy Whiskey but he still stands his ground. One is little childish and playful while the other is an older and mature souls.

Aged

The features on his face show that he has been through a long life as a cat, however, the sharpness in his eyes is always there.

The very first

This is the first time Remy realizes this is how he looks like. He's young, innocent as is his soul. He's the opposite of Whiskey. But somehow, they are living happily together.
