‘KELNIK’ will introduce conversations, special moments, and experiences around a table while sharing a unique meal. The word ‘Kelnik‘ means ‘Holds it’ in the language of First Nation People. It will serve as a bridge between generations to embrace their own roots through the activity that connects us: Eating. This word encouraged me to look for more information about indigenous local restaurants, main products and the lack of support of many businesses are struggling with, because people do not know about it. I will propose the use of natural materials and combining smooth curves and linear lines that will reflect the beauty of the symbology used in indigenous art. The use of textures such as woods and stones, a neutral colour palette, and accent colours like red and black will emphasize the interior composition.
