The concept of The Leungli tales echo Kingman Brewster Jr.'s idea of living in a "televised fishbowl," highlighting a timeless theme of constant observation and intrusion. The youngest sister and Leungli symbolize the vulnerability of being perpetually watched, reflecting the broader issue of invasive media coverage. These stories remind us of the continuous challenge individuals face in a world where every action is under public scrutiny, underscoring the enduring relevance of Brewster's insightful observation.
The 1st Campaign, 1st Collection of Hals and Tales suitable for Spring/Summer 2024, attending wedding, graduation, or even just window shopping. The collection name is LEUNGLI. This first collection was inspired by Indonesian folktale - Leungli and famous Kingsman Brewster Jr. quotes - “We all live in a televised goldfish bowl” Like how Leungli-the fish was captured and eaten by jealous-greedy stepsisters, our lives now just like Leungli, how exactly we all live in a televised goldfish. How what we do were being watched and became others dish (talk-gossip material). No matter what we do, right or wrong. What should we do? Everything was as if covered by veil. Trapped in a net aren't we? All we can do is believe in our roots, believe in ourselves, believe that it's okay to be different, who cares if we become others talk, we won't be trapped and feel suffocated if we ignore, if we just leave... Always remember, we are the author of our own tales. Check out our collection by heading to our Instagram @halsandtales___
