My art is unstructured, spontaneous, and impulsive, mirroring my personality. I convey this through the movements of my camera by flipping, shifting, and avoiding traditional movements in any way possible. My art is my coping mechanism, my way to break free from the traditional way of living life, by shooting video in the same non traditional sense. Seeing the inner essence of myself displayed in a physical format makes me feel better on the inside and accept who I am. I believe that art is not defined by a genre, but by what it is representing from the artist's heart. I purposely shoot my films in this way, not because I choose too, but because I must, respecting my true self and ever changing feelings. Collaboration is essential to an arts lifespan, and without it, us as artists would be lost in ourselves. Fostering creativity and collaboration by intersecting separate thriving art forms in Vancouver has me consistently motivated and determined, as without collaboration, people would not walk this earth today. At the end of the day, my technique of shooting videos will always represent life in the raw and how I feel inside at that precise moment.
