Biografía
I’m Danielle Araújo, formerly known as Danielle Camurça. I was born in the Northeast of Brazil in 1985. Growing up next to the sea and in close proximity to a military community, at the age of 19 I was inspired to start my career as a Seafarer in the Merchant Navy and to travel the world. After eight years of a successful career as a Deck Officer, I decided to make a shift and pursue another dream I had. In 2017 I started my journey in the world of the art. I started by reaching out to local artists from my hometown and learning artistic foundations through them. Learning the basics in different mediums and techniques, I was able to physically express the images and feelings that were already inside me through both my drawings and work as a tattoo artist. The desire for more knowledge along with the desire to experience new cultures brought me to Canada to study Arts and Literature in order to better establish myself as an artist and illustrator. Learning different medias and techniques has allowed me to expand on the work I did as a tattoo artist and broaden my approach to creativity.
