Biografía
My name is Vanessa Shemesh Ferreira. I was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia. I spent my childhood in Colombia studying at Gran Bretana School, and attended summer camps outside my country in Switzerland. These overseas study experiences opened my mind to new cultures and are the key factors in my decision to study abroad. My education has given me the opportunity to develop and grow-up intellectually, personally, and spiritually, and has exposed me to a wide range of experiences, which will enable me to become a leader in future. I have always been very interested in subjects related to fashion. That’s why I study fashion marketing and communication at La Salle College. A career for which I was inclined since I was very young, and in which I learned about all the different areas that make the fashion industry. One of the topics that most attracts me is the styling and realization of fashion editorials. I’m very passionate about it, and I always liked to be up to date on the latest fashion trends and what is happening around the industry. With this experience I realized that this area really catches my attention and which I can put into practice my creativity and imagination to get an amazing artwork. I have made fashion editorials in which I was the responsible for carrying out the production and styling of theme. This helps me to improve my knowledge and get practice about the fashion styling by myself. (to view pictures ask for send it). One of the best experiences for me has been working with the fashion stylist Julia Von Bohem and her team, where I learned in detail about the different aspects that require the accomplishment of an editorial work. Here I had the opportunity to work in fashion editorials with different Condé Nast Magazines, fashion brands as Dior and Chanel, fashion shows in NYFW, and artist as Nicole Kidman. Also I had the experience working in fashion companies as Agua Bendita Swimwear, Rialto Jean Project, & Eddie Borgo, were I participate in the opening of new collections and events, I helped with the fashion campaigns of the brands, and learned about the public relations industry, an area that is very connected with the Magazines and the fashion styling. I want to take everything I can learn from this experience, and so use my skills, creativity, my interpersonal skills, and social conscience to contribute to the wider community. I am self-directed, comprehensive and collaborative person, so I like to work together, and learn from other people. I want to keep learning and improving every day more, with all the experiences I've had the opportunity to perform my work, and my knowledge to be someone successful in the industry.
