The new building is located in the Sant Gervasi area and occupies 2,700 square metres, which are distributed on two floors, with a total of 20 classrooms carefully designed to meet the needs of each design specialty: Interior, Product, Graphic and Fashion. In addition, there will be two labs with the highest quality equipment, computer rooms with the most advanced software, and a FabLab, a layout and prototyping workshop equipped with a 3D printer.

The building has more than 570 square metres of common areas where students have access to all services and amenities, including a library, study hall and an exhibition area.

"Every aspect of the new campus, including spaces for work, study and creative thinking, as well as equipment and specialized furniture, has been designed to boost students' creativity," notes Silvia Viudas, Director of LCI Barcelona.

"The campus in Catalonia is a strategic destination for the LCI Education network. As a quintessential cosmopolitan city, Barcelona perfectly reflects the key aspects of our network: dynamism, avant-garde fashion, design and diversity,” remarks Claude Marchand, President and CEO of LCI Education.

As part of the celebration of the official opening, the exhibition Barcelona - Montreal will include a dialogue on the topic of design between the two cities. Participating in this dialogue will be local designers from Barcelona such as Curro Claret, Herraiz-Soto, David Torrents, Josep Abril, Lo Siento Studio, and Léku. Montreal will be represented by Dikini, Alto, Yin Gao, Baillart Cardel & Fils and Studio Feed, among others.

With an extensive academic offer of Master’s degrees and specialization courses, LCI Barcelona represents a destination of choice for all LCI Education students who wish to pursue their studies in a recognised school of design in Europe.
