This art and culture centre serves as a hub for the Montreal art scene and it caters to local artists from various aspects, providing spaces allocated to creative development and showcasing. The concept starts from how to bring more natural light into this long, narrow building flanked by other buildings on both long sides. Opening the roof as skylight and opening the basement to the exterior as much as possible are the two main approaches. Using metal finishes, bold colors and old school parquet floor to create an industrial and nostalgic atmosphere.
