IKEA: Welcome Home is a group project focused on creating a promotional campaign for IKEA Canada’s new initiative aimed at immigrants. The campaign addresses the emotional and practical challenges newcomers face, such as adapting to a new culture, financial strain, and the longing for home by offering curated, prefabricated product packages to help them settle into their new spaces. Using a mix of social media, email marketing, catalogues, and both paid and owned media, the campaign was designed to connect with newcomers, making them feel seen, supported, and truly at home.
The billboard visuals were placed near airports and baggage claim panels to reach newcomers at key arrival moments. Featuring warm, relatable home scenes and the message “Welcome Home”.

The first month of the Welcome Home campaign was designed to build awareness and emotional connection with newcomers through a multi-channel launch strategy. This initial phase included targeted social media content, Google Ads, email vouchers, and printed and digital catalogues.
