This project serves as my final project for my first term in Lasalle College Surabaya. We were tasked to design a small house based on our own concept and liking, but still fulfilling the client's request. The entire project started with a site visit. During the visit, we met our client, her name was Ms. Ayuzuma. We were tasked to interview her and ask about the things she wanted to put in her house. She planned to rent this house to younger/smaller families, she also had several requests, one of it being having us build a deck area for her above the kitchen area. After the whole site visit and interview process, we then started working on this project. First thing I did was making a layout plan that is based on the measurements we did during the site visit. After that, we began to think of a concept that we wanted, followed by doing some rough sketches and mood boards. The things I did were drawing the layout plan in AutoCad, drew 5 perspective drawings manually, and built the 3D model of the house out of PVC boards. At last, comes the day of presentation, I presented my concept to the client. I explained everything to her, starting from the beginning until the end. I chose tropical finishing, so I explained to her the reason for choosing this concept, I also explained to her regarding the furniture placements and materials. By the end of the presentation, she told me that she really liked my project, especially the colors. She praised me by saying that my color of choice does really suit the whole concept and I was brave enough to choose bolder colors.
These drawings are the ones I drew for this project. In this PDF, you will find my technical drawings which I drew using AutoCad, and my manually rendered drawings. These were also the drawings I showed to the client during the presentation.
