The batik cloth with the Terang Bulan decoration comes from Pekalongan which is then very popular in the Parahiangan area. Terang bulan batik is made by Ibu Soed as an answer to President Soekarno's vision in the 1950s to create batik that crosses cultural boundaries with the message of Indonesian unity. This batik has a variety of flora or fauna on two sides of the cloth that are angled. It is also inspired by the full moon hence the white outlines, that represent how the full moonlight works.
