Vita is an Italian gelato brand aiming to provide a energetic and healthier option to restore your vitality. My role consisted of creating a brand, its packaging and web design for a gelato product catering to those devoted to overall health and wellness. From the Italian word vitalità the name for the Vita brand was derived.
My flavor vision for this brand was to help Vita create a flavour story that defines who Vita is as a brand. To do this I wanted the flavours to be intellectual, emotional and sensual because flavour is about eating, and eating is an emotional experience. The goal is for customers to easily be able to know Vita’s story and identify it with Vita’s brand. Lively, vibrant, gusto and oomph are all synonyms of vitality from which Vita’s name was derived and further define who Vita is as a brand.
I like to begin with a web strategy session to plan the site-map and user-flow. This exploration also includes all of the information, content, inspiration that I compile into a Pinterest board, and any details I need to effectively solidify the aesthetic and positioning of Vita’s brand and website.
Every single detail is important. The story of Vita’s brand and values are the first things that I like to use to catch the attention of the target audience. That’s why I like to create identites that are capable of transmitting visually whats behind each brand. In Vita’s case, vitality is an important part of the brand identity. I communicated this by carrying forward the energetic zig zag line and exuberant colour palette.
