Birdhouse Necklace

Birdhouse - A safe place for birds to build their nests, and flap their wings to a comfy evening roost. This design was inspired by the trip I had gone over to Agassiz when I visited the Spirit Trail. It has a wonderful décor of spirit masks on the trees, and the birdhouses have been one of my eye-catching points throughout the visit. And so, I am building this birdhouse for the “Metal and Beads” project, which covers score and bend technique. Being dipped into a liver of sulfur which darkens the metal color, adds a rustic feel on the outside to stand out from the textured interior. I included three mini Carnelian beads intertwined with craft wire to create a cute bird nest as a focal point.
