Tyrant

Tyrant is a 2D Top-Down tower defense shooter created by a team of 8 programmers over 12 months. Developed in Unity2D, I was in charge of level design and developing a flexible dialogue system. Dialogues can be edited through a scriptable object and slotted in a dialogue activation object. As for the text of the dialogue, it has a text scrolling effect to mimic the classic rpg text effect, moreover, text will stop briefly if it encounters a punctuation, to perfectly mimic a normal conversation. I also helped develop the UI for ammo counters within the game, there are 3 types of weapons that use different types of ammo UI. For example, the flamethrower will use a drain meter to represent its fuel, the laser gun will have a charge bar for its charges, and the normal cannon weapon will have a traditional ammo display.
