First Choice Foods is a local food product wholesaler and distributor, owning a few private labels under their company, one of which is Heer. The goal of the project is to give a refresh to the brand as well as supporting graphic materials for potential marketing needs. Heer’s tagline “taste the tradition” talks about the importance of quality ingredients when creating dishes.
The original logo was redesigned in order to modernize and personify Heer's brand and its motto of "Taste the Tradition." The colour chosen for the final design represented Heer's deep-rooted culture and tradition. The stylized serif text of the wordmark drew influence from India's historical architecture.
The challenge is to redesign the original packaging into eye-catching packages while making sure that the product in the packaging is visible, as well as creating generic design packages for their three main products, pantry items, sugar, and chana flour.
The design was inspired by the pottery in the Indian subcontinent. The beautiful hand-painted design, unique and different from each terracotta pot. The window from which the product is visible resembles a leaf to symbolize the source of these organic products while serving its creative edge as well.
The product line or purchase order pamphlet and business cards as well were designed to bring cohesion to the Heer brand for sales representatives when presenting the products to potential clients in the food retail industry.
