Biography

My name is Xiao. I was born in Qinghai province, China. I had lived there till I was 10 ten years old. Then I moved to Shanghai. It is the place where I grew up, worked, got married, and had my first baby. Four years ago, my family moved to Montreal, Canada. I had my second baby. Now I am a student at Lasalle College. My major is tourism. I like cooking, traveling, tasting various food worldwide, reading, watching films, and playing with the kids. I also care about politics. I have traveled to some parts of China, Thailand, Singapore, Korea, Italy, France, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, and New Zealand. Travel riches my life. Meeting different people and experiencing the various culture and traditions expand my horizons and form my optimistic and curious characteristics. When I travel, the primary thing for me is to search for local food. If the food attracts me, I will try to learn the recipe and cook it for my family and friends. I am a person who can’t live without spicy food. I started to eat spicy food when I was three years old. My whole family loves spicy food. Almost all the dishes in my family go with spicy ingredients. The spicy flavor tickles my taste buds, eases my stress, and makes me feel happy. During my spare time, I would like to take a cup of coffee, sit in my study room, read books, or watch a film. For me, it is also one of the best moments in my life. I am bored with the hustle and bustle of city life and complicated interpersonal relationships. I am expecting a simple and peaceful life. Therefore, after my graduation, I will move to a small village, open my own small restaurant and introduce authentic Chinese spicy dishes to the people who are the same as me - spicy lovers.
