Production Team • Animated Short, Director
During this class we began the animation, which was about a deaf street dancer. My job as director was to make sure the original story was maintained but also allow for the creative input of each animator. Though we ran into some difficulties, we were able to pull through as a group and did the best we could. The process of animation was supposed to start a quarter before in Pre-Production class, which did not happen, and we were behind. Knowing that the situation could become stressful, I suggested that we cut out a scene and I let the other animators know that full polish would not be necessary or possible. We just needed to finish.
October—December 2019
Pre-Production Team
Participated in an entire animation pipeline. Our group was responsible for coming up with our own idea and mine ended up being selected. We all had our delegated task during the different phases of the pipeline. I had to take over from a group a member who became ill and could not complete their task. The task at that point, was to assist in the creation of the storyboards, along with my own task of writing down the story and details.
