Présentée par Vitaminart, Correspondances vers chez-soi: hiver au Panama, été en Russie est une exploration cinématographique des différentes facettes qui construisent une identité nationale. Le documentaire a été présenté en première virtuelle lors d’un événement unique sur YouTube le samedi 1er mai 2021. En creusant à la fois l'héritage et les modes de vie russes et panaméens, le projet vise à unir deux mondes souvent perçus comme séparés. La série d'entretiens et de courts métrages au format plus expérimental sera présentée en trois actes thématiques avec des perspectives aiguisées et cultivées: «URBE» avec l'architecte et urbaniste Luis Alfaro et l'ingénieur hydro à la retraite Nikolai Topcheev; «IDEM» avec l'experte de la mode Alice Stemberg et l'historienne et auteure Marixa Lasso; et «LORE» avec l'auteure-compositrice-interprète Michelle Blades et la professeure de littérature russe Ludmila Alexandrova. Ces chapitres porteront sur des sujets tels que l'urbanisation, l'histoire, la mode, la musique et le folklore, chacun explorant d'où nous venons, où nous sommes et où nous pourrions être. ______________________________________________________________________________________ Presented by Vitaminart, Homebound: Winter in Panama, Summer in Russia, a cinematic exploration of the different blocks that build a national identity, had its one-time digital premiere on YouTube on Saturday, May 1st, 2021. Digging into both Russian and Panamanian heritage and ways of living, the project aims to unite two worlds often conceived of as apart. The series of interviews and mood pieces will be presented in three themed acts with well-tuned and cultured voices: “URBE” with architect and urban planner Luis Alfaro and retired hydro engineer Nikolai Topcheev; “IDEM” with fashion expert Alice Stemberg and historian and author Marixa Lasso; and “LORE” with singer-songwriter Michelle Blades and Russian literature teacher Ludmila Alexandrova. These chapters will reflect on topics such as urbanization, history, fashion, music, and folklore, each exploring where we come from, where we are, and where we might be.
