Online District - Final Project 2022

As mentioned on CTV news “thousands of small businesses across Canada are believed to have closed due to COVID-19, and many more are at risk.” Online District is a direct response to the pandemic. Through surveying a sample of Montreal’s population, we realized that the intent to shop local was higher than ever but Montrealers are lacking information and convenience around their local shopping process. Montreal’s locally produced shopping district is extremely vast and we would love to shine a spotlight on it, from Griffintown’s Atelier Untlld fashion to BKIND beauty on St-Laurent. We offer Montreal’s hottest brands online through an immersive experience with the hopes of making shopping local as easy as it’s ever been. We are targeting a young adult clientele from every Montreal neighborhood, through our product matrix specially curated for them. Our platform is offered online exclusively on desktop and mobile. Our platform’s main feature includes an interactive shoppable map demonstrating local shops. Augmented reality gives consumers the opportunity to shop inside our partners stores directly online. As demonstrated on your right is an AR store powered by Obsess. Online District members will benefit from special treatment such as free shipping and more.

To promote our platform, we will be using marketing strategies to promote the feeling of community. We believe that using our marketing budget towards a transit ad campaign is extremely fitting and supports our community-driven platform. The launch campaign focuses on demonstrating Montreal imagery and the promotional phrase “support your neighborhood”.
