Paggunita - Industrial Project 4

This collection is based on the reminiscence of the Spanis colonization of the Philipines in the 19th century. Resulting in the influence of the Hispanic culture and the Asia Culture through the trans-Pacific trade to be integrated into the Philippines ' traditional culture. The introduction of Catholicism to the Philipines by the Portuguese explorer, Ferdinand Magelan. This collection shows the combinations of the modified Renaissance silhouette, Traditional Philippines costume, and the modern silhouette. With the use of the Philippines Piña fabric and T’Nalak fabric from the T’Boli tribe. Combine with taffeta bridal, georgette and organdy fabric. The color is inspired by the natural color coloring on the T’nalak fabric and Piña fabric, off-white, beige, shades of brown, black, and a hint of red. The fabric treatment for this collection is gradations of fabric scrap inspired by Valentin Bakardjiev, and the beadings embroidery imitated the motif of the T’Nalak fabric and the T’Boli Mother of pearls embroidery.
