Biography

My name is Oscar Josa and I am a filmmaker born in El Salvador and currently living in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, a city that has helped me grow not only as a creator, but as a person. From a very early age, I have been immersed in the world of cinema. I have experimented with many different creative mediums, including drawing, painting, and playing guitar, but my passion and expertise is in film, which I use as an opportunity to express ideas and feelings, as well as create awareness of current issues and to protest. I have done editing work for Imagen and I am currently completing my DEC in Arts, literature and Communication (Media option) at LaSalle College, a program that has helped me build my portfolio and polish my filming and editing skills.
