As a fashion major city of immigrations country, Montreal is more of a mixed bag of political, cultural, and social nuts.So many sounds and cultures are represented,it’s a profound reflection of the city itself, and feeds back into that ever-bubbling melting pot. As a group whose members all come from different countries,we like to integrate the above concept to this design and to create exceptional clothes for young ladies who are open-minded. The print with hazy outline was designed and apply on white base simbolizing the free, open and pluralistic society. Sketches were drew by group members and final outfits were made by individuals.I made Style01 and Style02 out of satin and organza, the top of Style 01 was made by draping muti straps on mannequin, and the top of Style02 was made by layersof organza assembled on the base satin, which gives a blurred effect on the outfits.
