“Boo ,boo, boo, booming” Outerwear Fall/ Winter 2016-2017 collection is based in one of the most amazing designers that history of fashion has ever had: Coco Chanel. Chanel was born in 1833 in France; well-known a cause of her timeless and controversial designs that changed women’s lives. Her best years were in the Modernist Era,right after WWI ,when she proposed simple silhouettes,physical liberation,functionalism as a modern age breaking past, giving women the freedom of expressing their identities.Chanel represented simplicity, vanguardism and revolutionism. The collection takes fromthe Modernist Era, the simple silhouettes ,garments lengths , the sportswear look and the round neckline. Also, it is mixed with the “Off-Beat” trend (WGSN) , a funky and modern trend that promotes playing , youth , reprieve and escape ; it stands out because of its unplanned and impromptu colourful ideology. This trend’s principal characteristics are the patch work , straight silhouettes and “garcone” look.
