Baroque Beauty (Historical Project)

The ‘Baroque’ project was one of my more complex realisations. The aim was to replicate - in all of its intricate details - a Baroque costume that would merge the extravagance of the attire with materials available in contemporary culture. As the Baroque-Rococo fashion era went through rapid transitional changes, I had to first undertake extensive research into the historical and social changes that undermined each evolutionary trend so as to better understand the thinking that would later alter the modern world’s perspective of fashion. This immersion into the past is what allowed me to choose the style that I have reproduced.
