Biography

Mariah Rose is a multidisciplinary artist, photographer and designer. She first experimented with photography through explorations into light and motion. After moving from country NSW to Melbourne, she expanded her practice as a means of expressing her personal social and political beliefs. Her current conceptual photographic work looks at the constructs and categorisations of the feminine identity. Using self-representation and drawing on personal experiences, her work aims to challenge current normative culture, where women are dictated and restricted.
