Biography

Cristina Ingbritsen (Tattooed Blonde Punk), is a Melbourne, Australia based artist. Cristina is currently in her final year (2017) of completing a Bachelor of design arts course, majoring in visual arts with the sub-major of filmmaking and photography, at the Australian Academy of Design. Cristina commonly works in graphite, coloured pencil, water colour paint, acrylic paint and book binding (and many more). However, she enjoys experimenting and learning about new mediums. Common themes that appear in Cristina's work include, music, movies, pop culture, mythology, fantasy and horror. Cristina's works commonly take on a realism/hyper-realism and literate appearance. She also does works in the style of Japanese Manga. Cristina is heavily influenced by the themes above and the works of Andy Warhol, Vincent Van Gogh, Salvador Dali, Mick Rock, Bob Gruen, Frida Kahlo, only to name a few. She is also influenced by her favourite person, Deborah Harry, and her other idols including, Alice Cooper, Bruce Springsteen, Angela Lansbury, Alan Rickman and Lucille Ball. Cristina has also completed commissioned works (both for private and public displays) since 2014-present; and has also participated in a number of group exhibitions including "The Odditorium" (Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival 2015), Group exhibit, 2015. Cristina's future career goals include solo exhibitions and becoming a secondary/high school art teacher.
