Farewell, maman Dion

It is with great sadness that we have learned of the death of Thérèse Dion, founder of the Fondation maman Dion foundation and our philanthropic partner.

The employees, teachers and students of LaSalle College as well as the staff and children of the LaSalle des petits Daycare will never forget Mrs. Dion's inspiring visits to our establishment, which were always marked by her great generosity and exceptional humanism.

Mother of 14 children, including singer Céline Dion, Maman Dion is one of the women who have left their mark on Québec's history, particularly thanks to her foundation, whose mission is to foster the growth, development of self-esteem and the desire to succeed in school for young Quebecers from underprivileged backgrounds.

We extend our deepest condolences to her family and loved ones and would like to emphasize once again her impact on people and society.

Mrs. Dion and her work will remain engraved in our memories and we will make it our duty to perpetuate her tradition.
