July Was on Fire Thanks to Two Graduate-Hosted Events

LaSalle College’s Event Planning graduates were busy in July! As part of their final project, they had the pleasure of welcoming guests to no less than two evening events to benefit the LCI Education Foundation.

007, an event inspired by James Bond

On Thursday, July 20, students in the French track invited their guests to the 007 event. They were immersed in a refined universe, complete with a mystery that needed to be solved.

This cocktail reception, which was held to raise funds for the LCI Education Foundation, took place at the elegant Auberge Saint-Gabriel in Old Montreal. The event featured guest artists, including comedian Christopher William and singer Fred Germain.

Inspired by James Bond, the evening took place in a mysterious, and yet festive, atmosphere.

The evening's goal, “Donate for Education”, was successfully met!

On the beach with Beauty & the Beach

A week later, it was the English track students’ turn to organize a fundraising event to benefit the LCI Education Foundation.

On Thursday, July 27, the atmosphere heated up during the Beauty & the Beach event. Guests were transported to a dreamlike seaside universe for the course of the evening.

In a fun and interactive setting, they were able to enjoy small bites and mocktails made from Djiin syrups.

This atmosphere was enhanced by the Soul & Sister duo, and guests were able to enjoy free henna tattoos provided by an artist.

These events, organized as part of the program’s comprehensive project, represented the culmination of a one-year course of study. During this project, students had the opportunity to develop their skills in organizing professional events.

The funds that were raised were donated to the LCI Education Foundation, whose mission is to promote children's literacy and student retention. The Director of Philanthropic Development, Sandra Parker, attended the event.
