$18, 000 given to the community, thanks to a group of graduating students from LaSalle College in Montreal
Two groups of graduating students from LaSalle College’s event planning program in Montreal gave their all in their final project course. One of them set up a musical brunch in a luxurious downtown hotel, Le Crystal, and the other organised a games and comedy night in the popular and trendy show venue, Bain Mathieu. Both events were a phenomenal success!
Despite the very different nature of the two events, they share a common element which is quite remarkable. The two groups managed to raise incredible sums! As a result of these two events, LaSalle College was able to award the amount of $18,000 to local youth in need in order to support them in staying in school. Thanks to these fundraisers, many children in need will benefit from the donations of clothing, eyewear and school supplies.
Hats off to Sylvie Desbois, the teacher who guided these groups all semester long, as well as the students who rose to the occasion and presented high caliber events for a great cause.
